As the monsoon season get settled, there are many places one has to visit, especially the falls, greenery during the beautiful drizzle.
Having said the above, we (Sankalp Team) had been to Amboli Falls. We had a strength of 18members, all boys :).
Amboli falls is a hill station in Sindhudurg district of south Maharastra. Amboli is popular for the tourist destination. At an altitude of 690m, it is the last hill station before coastal highlands of Goa and lies in the Sahayadri Hills of Western India.

So, our journey starts here:
As per the plan we were supposed to meet at 6.15am, Navangar and leave Hubli around 6.45am, but as usual we delayed our start and left around 7.30am. And this was expected :D.
Since we were 18 members, we settled in 2 travelers, each of them has 11 seats where one could sit comfortably as we decided to board 9 members each.
We had already ordered our breakfast with the vendor previous night, who prepared delicious Iddle and Vada :-) and delivered it by early morning around 6:30am. Since we had to travel for at-least 1 and half hours we thought of having breakfast and stopped in the highway of Hubli-Belgaum to have the breakfast just a few km from Kittur lake.
Reaching Belgaum at 9.40am was a relief, even though we had delayed our early start.
Our first view point of the day was Tillari falls.
Tillari falls is the one of the unravelled falls, most of us did not know about this falls. Few folks from the team had been to this falls before. But Unfortunately, we could not find the falls as no one of us had taken or knew about the 'new' route before. The usual route had broken down badly so we thought of taking another route. We had travelled around 20-25km into dense forest in search of Tillari falls, but we had to give up, Sad:(.
But we ended up finding the new place ie.. Tillari Park/Resort. Tillari Park is a good place to relax, it is a hill station and the viewpoint from this park was amazing, that would make you to forget each and every thing and embrace the beauty of the nature.
The next stop point was Swapnavel point.
Swapnavel point is a beautiful view point into the dense forest. It had a resort too.
The roaring falls created attention for both eyes and ears as we stood on the viewing platform.
"Mind-Refresh" - this is what we experienced here. We did not prefer having lunch here as we were looking for a Dabba on the highway to Amboli.
We had our lunch in a Dabba, the food was decent and with ravenous, we were satisfied with food. When we finished our lunch and decided the next destination ie Amboli it was already 2.45pm.
The next and final viewpoint was Amboli falls.
Amboli:
Amboli combines the chilling weather of a hill station with the lingering smell of the sea. The source of river Krishna lies at the heart of this village of Sindhudurg and owes its holy waters to the Shiva temple at the cave where the water originates.
The natural beauty of the forest covered hills, soaked in vivacious showers is a breathtaking sight. Mini waterfalls gushing down the slopes, heavy rains and mist covered horizons are the characteristic of Amboli. It is covered by a thick canopy of trees and dense forest cover.
Hindi and Marathi are the most popular languages spoken.
The road trip is also beautiful, that fog on the road, that chilly weather, rains showers and greenery all round.
You have the stairs to go up the falls, and the stairs will have water flowing with the constant current. It is challenging to small children to climb against the water current.
Falls was adored as we enjoyed every bit of it.
The Final Destination was: Niyaz, Belgaum.
Niyaz is famous for Biryani. As we had snacks at Amboli also, we were not that hungry but tired and sleepy. So we settled for Biryani only instead of Soup,Stater,Main-Course and Ice Cream :D .
We reached back to Hubli around 11pm,
It was a Trip to Remember!.

As we took our eyes off these
thick waterfalls and looked at the surface of the hill in front of us, we could see many smaller falls coming down, a bit silently clinging to the surface of the hill."Mind-Refresh" - this is what we experienced here.
